FAQs
What should I bring with me?
Bring yourself, your curiosity, 3–5 tops you love, and whatever you need for hair/make-up. If you play with glasses, hats, hoops bring them. I’ll help edit the pile down once you arrive.
Where are you based?
Camden Town. Easy to get to, hard to leave without a new favourite headshot.
What should I wear?
Wear what you feel powerful in. Solids tend to photograph cleanly, but rules are boring, bring options and we’ll test them on camera. Texture over loud patterns. Comfort over everything.
Can I wear Jewellery?
Absolutely. Jewellery can give a headshot a wink without stealing the scene. Bring a couple of choices; we’ll try both “minimal” and “spicy.”
I'm Not sure which package I should book?
Book theSIGNATURE if you’re unsure. It gives us more room to warm up, experiment, and land multiple looks without clock-watching.
How many Photographs will you take?
Plenty. Typically 60–80 frames per outfit. If we nail it in fewer, we move on. If we’re on a roll, we keep rolling, maybe even a quick wander outdoors.
How many outfits can we do?
As many as time allows. Plan on 2–4 looks for theCLASSIC, 4–6 looks for theSIGNATURE and bring your whole wardrobe for thePREMIUM. I keep us moving and varied so you leave with range.
How will you find my soul in such a short time?
I like to give you time to arrive in the space. We’ll start with freshly brewed herbal tea and a 10–15 minute chat about why you need these headshots. That conversation shapes the shoot, and that time sits outside your session. It’s our moment to connect before the camera even comes out. Then I direct gently, watch closely, and we iterate until you see you.
What if I’m not photogenic?
You are, you’ve just not met the right light (or the right nerd behind the camera). My job is to coach expression, posture and micro-adjustments so your best sides read easy. We’ll get there, promise.
Can we shoot outside too?
For sure. theSIGNATURE and thePREMIUM both have time for a stroll to my favourite Camden corners if the weather plays nice.
I’ve got a huge spot on my nose, should I cancel?
Nope. Life happens. I work with an excellent retoucher who’ll tidy temporary visitors like spots while keeping skin looking real.
Do you do black-and-white headshots?
Yes. Some images just ask for B&W. You’ll see colour proofs first; any final you choose can be delivered in B&W as well.
Can I charge my phone?
If it’s on 1%, yes. If it’s on 90%, I’ll have to charge you. (Kidding... there’s a socket with your name on it.)
How long have you been doing this?
I spent a decade helping other photographers bring their vision to life. Now I’m directing the party. First camera at age eight; still obsessed.
How do I pay?
A £30 deposit confirms your booking. A week before the shoot you'll get a reminder email with FAQS and T&C'S + a final invoice to be paid 72 hours before your session — nice and simple.
Bank transfer works best, and you’ll get a receipt for your records (or your agent, if needed).
Need to shuffle the date? Give me 48 hours and we’ll move your deposit across. Cancellations inside 48 hours are non-refundable.
What if I need to reschedule more than once?
The first one’s easy. If your calendar and mine keep playing tag, we’ll just start fresh with a new £30 deposit to secure the spot.
how are the files delivered?
Within 24h of our shoot, you'll receive an online low res proofing gallery for you to make your selects. After receiving your selection, your Finals arrive as high-resolution JPEGs.
It takes up to 2 weeks maximum to have your final images delivered back to you.
I'm usually quicker, though.
Can I have full copyright to my shots?
I retain copyright (standard in photography), and you receive a licence for personal/portfolio/agent/press use. If you need extended or commercial usage, just ask and I’ll quote it clearly.
I don’t want to pay for extra shots. Can I get the extras unedited?
I don’t release unedited files. Curation and finishing are part of my work. If you love more images than your package includes, you can add fully finished edits individually (at £30 per edit)
Can I edit the shots myself?
No, please don't. Consistent finishing keeps your portfolio cohesive and protects the look of my work.
What if I don’t like the shots?
Tell me why. If we missed the brief or something went sideways, we’ll talk reshoot options. My aim is that you leave with images you’re proud to use.
What if my agent doesn’t like the shots?
Agents have great notes. Share their feedback—I’m happy to consider a targeted top-up or re-edit where appropriate so you get something you and your rep love.
Are you the BEST headshot photographer?
London is full of talent. What I am is the best match for people who want images that feel alive, collaborative, and a bit adventurous. That’s my lane.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. Students and returning clients get a friendly break. (Bring ID if you’re a student.)
